Helping to get the fair-pay

Ma Tinzar Win started to work at a sock factory in Maepa, Mae Sot on December 12, 2009. She was told to receive 800baht/month with monthly deduction of 250baht for her saving by the factory. The other deductions for her were 200baht for the sick leave and 35baht for not working overtime. On July 1, 2009 she couldn’t work for being sick. The employer had not just failed to pay for the medical treatment but kicked her out as well in this case. She finally came to PVA asking for the intervention. PVA managed to get her compensations and send her to Mon women’s welfare agency for further help.
