On November 27, 2010, at 8:30 a building in the construction site in Maethawthalay village, Mae Sot had collapsed and 18 Burmese workers were injured. PVA provided an emergency service by sending them to the Maetaw clinic.

The building was supposed to be built for corn storage. The problems started with its weak foundation and no strong metal in use to prop it up according to the sources. Due to the sustained serious injuries, 7 workers were transferred to Mae Sot hospital.
