Aung Naing Oo, Lin Lin and Thaw Thaw drank alcohol together. For some reason, Lin Lin and Thaw Thaw punched Aung Naing Oo causing him serious injury in the left eye. Aung Naing Oo came to PVA and asked for help in this regard on February 11, 2012.

Aung Naing Oo said, “I’m from Bahan, Rangoon. I arrived in Mae Sot four months ago. I lived and worked together with my friend Lin Lin at an automobile repair shop. On February 11 at 1:30 pm, I drank alcohol together with Lin Lin and Thaw Thaw at a liquor store. They both slap and punched in my face citing that I was annoying to others. My left eye was seriously injured by Thaw Thaw. It still is swelling now. I had to run for my life when Lin Lin was chasing me with a dagger at that day.”
PVA brought Thaw Thaw and Lin Lin to the office and educated that violent action against other was a criminal act even if it was a right reason. Besides, the people from Burma must help each others without coercion. They both apologized for what they had done, and Aung Naing Oo also forgave them in the end. PVA ordered them to pay for Aung Naing Oo’s medical expense in this regard, and let them sign a promissory note not to repeat the same mistake again.
