When PVA conducted an investigation in the neoghbors of Saw Larcel, it found out that a neighbor named U Joelay took him to Mae Sot hospital after the student clinic denied for the treatment on June 10. During the interview with U Joelay, he told PVA that he sent Saw Larcel to the hospital not because of the sustained injury but because of the stroke Saw Larcel was suffering.

PVA continuing further investigation without regarding U Joelay’s false statement finally found out that U Joelay’s son in law named Than Lwin had cut the man’s head with a machete.

In his confession, Saw Larcel was brought back to his tent by his friends due to his suffering of a mild stroke during the work on June 5 in the morning. He, who was already drunk, told his father in law that he would go to Saw Larcel and borrow some money for more drink at that night. When Saw Larcel denied to lend him the 1,500baht he asked for, Than Lwin pretended to leave the tent. He then sneakd back into the tent at 9pm while Saw Larcel was lying in bed and stole the money by striking Saw Larcel’s head with a machete when he tried to get his money back. U Joelay following his son in law later found Saw Larcel’s body on the ground but he left the scene at that night. Finally, U Joelay brought him to the hospital two days later due to the serious injury.

Now, Than Lwin fled to Thinkannyinaung village, Myawady in Burma. PVA reported to Thai police that could contact with the authorities in Burma for further action.
