Ko Min Htay, the victim
The PVA regional No.1 in Mae Sot was informed that a person named Ko Min Htay (25), who was shot with a home made gun by a by his employer Nai Kyusawan a Hmo ethnic of Thailand residing in Bansetsi village on May 7, 2011, and was sent to the emergency department of Mae Sot hospital. According to the report, Ko Min Htay a farm worker was shot with a home made guy, and his wife Ma Marlar Khine was raped by their employer Nai Kyusawan in the night.

In Ma Marlar Khine’s report, the employer with a home made gun pretending looked like hunting had come to their residence. At about 11pm she saw her husband was shot by the employer and rushed to pick up him. The employer at that point dragged her by holding her hairs into her room and raped her twice. She was let go off after she paid him all the money she got finally. She then rushed back to her husband by yelling for help. And, the neighbors called PVA regional No.1 for emergency help.
The PVA officials had sent him to Photepra hospital and the hospital decided to transfer him to Mae Sot hospital due to the serious injury. Ko Min Htay had sustained the lead poisoning because of the home made bullets that spread in his body, and one of them burst his stomach open.
PVA informed the lawyer’s group called LLC filed the case at the Photepra police station for the legal action in this regard on May 9, 2011. The rape case of Ma Marlar Khine was also reported. The joint force of PVA officials, the local authorities, the police and the investigators could manage to arrest the accused on May 11, 2011. The accused was confirmed as Nai Kyusawan (41) who had the similar history of raping and shooting at least four times in the past.
