The trouble of an ex-Monk

Maung Kyaw Thu, the ex-Monk

Maung Kyaw Thu (21) a native of Kankwin village, Wakhaema towhship came to PVA office and asked to solve the problems he was facing on July 13, 2011.

According to him, Maung Kyaw Thu entered Buddhist religion since he was 8 years old, and he became a Buddhist Monk for one year at Mizzu monastery in Thinkankyun towhship. And, he had passed the first monkhood examination in 2006 as well. On July 10, 2011, he along with other two Monks namely U Thawpita and U Watezawtara came to Mae Sot. While the other two Monks got the scholarship in Bangkok, he was left alone in Mae Sot. He finally decided to resign from being the Buddhist Monk on July 13, and to look for a job in order to survive himself and to send some money to his mother as well. PVA had helped him what he wished for on July 15.
