On April 17, 2011, Ma Wai (19) came to PVA along with her husband named Maung Pai Soe claiming that she was forced to have sex by Ko Aung Naing .

During the hearing, Ko Naing Win told PVA that on April 15, 2011, the middle day of Burmese New Year days, Maung Pai Soe, his wife Ma Wai and he went to the Moei river shore by the bicycles. There, the couple was drunk by drinking beers, and the husband Maung Pai Soe had disappeared. Ma Wai got so drunk after drinking three beers. Since the husband didn’t show up, he put Ma Wai on his bicycle and ride back home. Still she fell off the bicycle several times, and he decided to take her with a motorcycle-taxi finally. When they arrived at the site where they all live, he found out that everyone went out to celebrate the New Year festival. When he put her on her bed, he started to arouse wanting to have sex with her. Thus, he had committed sex with her, who didn’t resist to it.
PVA denounced Maung Pai Soe for his reckless and irresponsible behavior when drunk. And, it let him sign the agreement not to do it again.
PVA warned Ko Naing Win the legal consequence of sleeping with other man’s wife, and ordered him to pay for the damage in this regard. He finally apologized to the couple for what’s happened.
