The 3500 Burmese workers from the Top Form Brassiere factory, the second largest factory in Mae Sot, staged a protest at 11pm on December 18, 2009. The dissent was commenced the outrageous beatings of the two Burmese, who came to pick up their sisters working at the factory, by four security guards of the factory. All the workers staged a protest for such atrocity immediately after the incident. By the time while the army and the police force were about to use force to break the protest, PVA successfully managed to intervene the crisis in time.
